Wolves’ football development department have linked up with SK Football, forming the latest exciting partnership for the club.
SK Football, created in 2002, are the UAE’s longest-running football school, coaching more than 1,200 academy players of all races, ages, abilities and genders.
The partnership will see Wolves staff provide coaching lessons to SK staff online every month and Wolves will advise on the development of SK curriculum to bring them in line with the work Wolves do in the UK.
Wolves staff will also travel to Dubai to coach both male and female SK players in a series of recreational and elite camps, while SK will bring groups of players and parents to participate in the Wolves experience. They’ll experience coaching at Compton Park, enjoy a stadium tour of Molineux and attend a Premier League match.
Meanwhile, SK coaches will visit the UK to observe what Wolves do at grassroots, development and elite level for boys and girls.
Joe Hunt, international projects manager, said: “We are delighted to enter into partnership with SK Football Academy. SK Football are the longest running football academy in Dubai and have a wonderful reputation of giving players the opportunity to play and learn the beautiful game.
“For Wolves and our international programme this is our fist partnership in the middle east, and we’re thrilled to be working with Ben and his team. I’d like to thank Ben for the ease of organising the partnership, we worked hard and quickly to get it over the line.
“Our Football development department are excited at the opportunity to go to Dubai and work with the SK Football staff and players. In addition, they will be welcomed to Wolverhampton to enjoy football activities at Compton Park as part of our Wolves experience.”
Ben McBride, managing partner of SK Football, said: “This collaboration is a tremendous opportunity for our students and coaches to learn from one of the most prestigious football clubs in Europe. By joining forces with Wolves, we aim to provide our aspiring players and coaches access to a wealth of knowledge and expertise from the Wolves coaching team.
“This partnership will undoubtedly elevate the standards of football education at SK Football Academy, allowing our students to flourish and reach their full potential. Together, we are committed to providing a quality football environment that will mark a significant milestone in our journey towards excellence.”
