Two of the three group stage matches of Wolves under-21s’ EFL Trophy campaign for 2023/24 have now been confirmed.

James Collins’ side will travel to Lincoln City, Notts County and Derby County as one of the 16 invited academy teams in the tournament.

Dates for the games at Notts County and Derby County have been pencilled in, while confirmation on the Lincoln fixture will follow in due course.

The youngsters will make the trip to Meadow Lane on Tuesday 12th September, 7:45pm, to take on the Magpies who returned to the EFL through the National League play-offs last season following a four-year absence.

And the Old Gold will then go head-to-head with Derby at Pride Park on Tuesday 7th November, with a 7pm kick-off.

Last season, Wolves impressively reached the knockout stages of the competition after victories over Shrewsbury Town and Stockport County, before falling just short of a place in the last 16 as Manchester United under-21s progressed on penalties at Molineux.

Tickets details for the fixtures will be released in due course.
