Wes Okoduwa and Luke Rawlings were part of the victorious England under-16 team who won the Val De Marne Tournament last week.

The academy duo featured across the three fixtures in Paris, where England faced Japan, France and Switzerland.

Okoduwa was appearing for the Young Lions for the second successive camp having been called up in August, while Rawlings gained his first caps at England youth level.

Neil Ryan’s side opened the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Japan in a game Rawlings started, before Okoduwa was given a starting birth as England drew 1-1 with hosts France and prevailed on penalties.

Malachi Hardy and Fin Gorman scored in the final fixture against Switzerland, a 2-2 draw, which saw Okoduwa start and England crowned winners following a penalty shootout victory.

Academy manager for football, Jon Hunter-Barrett, and head of player development, Darren Ryan, were in attendance in Paris to see their Young Lions lift the trophy.
