Wolves Academy trio Leo Shahar, Brayden Clarke and Makenzie Bradbury were on international duty as England and Wales competed in the Football Federations Cup.
The tournament, hosted in Albir, Spain, took place between 19th-28th November and pitted countries from around the world against each other at under-16 level.
USA, Belgium, Japan, Mexico and Germany all took part, alongside hosts Spain, England and Wales as each country faced three fixtures.
Both Clarke and Bradbury started Wales’ first game against Japan which ended in a 2-0 defeat, before defender Clarke captained his country in the second game – a 4-1 loss against the USA. The Wolves duo then started in the third and final game, a 1-1 draw with Germany, which saw the Germans narrowly prevail on penalties.
Meanwhile, England’s highlight of the tournament was a 2-1 victory over Germany in a game where Shahar started and the Three Lions came from 1-0 down to take the points.
As the 11-day tour came to a close, Spain were crowned the overall winners after being successful in all three games, with England finishing sixth and Wales eighth.
