Fletcher Holman has admitted that it would be a ‘dream come true’ to score at Molineux on Wednesday evening.

Wolves under-21s host Ajax under the lights in the Premier League’s International Cup and striker Holman is looking forward to the prospect of stepping out onto the pitch at the golden palace. Speaking ahead of the game, Holman has said the players are ‘buzzing’ for the game and he believes his own form coming into the tie is in a good place.

On looking ahead to the game

“We’re absolutely buzzing. We’re coming into it from a good performance on Saturday against Leicester.

“It’s my first time playing at Molineux, so hopefully we can put on a good performance out there and get a good result.”

On the prospect of playing at Molineux

“I think all the lads are buzzing to be fair, but I haven’t really spoke to a lot of them about what it’s like.

“We should take it as any other game and play to our strengths, play as a team, and hopefully the result will go our way.”

On his recent form

“I think my form’s alright now. There’s still parts of my game where I can work on, get better at, but I’ve just got to keep doing what I’m doing and hopefully I can carry on, score more goals and create more chances.”

On playing Ajax

“Playing against foreign teams, you never know what you’re going to come out against. We can’t do as much prep on them as we normally can in PL2 because we’re not in their country.

“It’ll be tough for us and I’m guessing that they’ll be very technically gifted, very powerful and good on the ball. We’ve just got sick to our game plan and hopefully get a result.”

On big games coming up

“I think it’s a big month for us to be honest. Obviously, the next two weeks are very crucial in the results that we get over the month.

“I think these are going to be the two tough ones, and hopefully that can then lead on to good performances.”

On what supporters can expect

“We’re going to try and put on a show, get the result and play good football. I think there’s a lot of potential in this squad and hopefully they will see that performance on Wednesday.”

On wanting to score at Molineux

“It’d be a dream come true to score in the stadium of the club that you play for. It’s one of those that stays with you for life.

“I’ve been on the bench at Molineux before with the first-team so to get that feeling again will be great. I just can’t wait to get out there and hopefully score a goal.”
