Wolves under-21s and under-18s both concluded their pre-season schedule with friendlies at Compton Park on Saturday.
With the new season getting underway this week, the games provided one final opportunity for James Collins and Richard Walker to get minutes into the legs before 2023/24.
The under-21s were due to host Stoke City on Friday afternoon, but instead welcomed Nottingham Forest on Saturday and were held to a goalless draw by the Reds.
Following their return from first-team duty, the squad included the likes of Nathan Fraser, Owen Farmer and Josh Esen, while Alfie Pond remained with Julen Lopetegui’s men and took his place on the bench in the 3-1 victory over Stade Rennais at Molineux.
Collins’ side open their Premier League 2 campaign at home to Fulham on Friday evening, with the game getting underway at 7pm.
Elsewhere, the under-18s ended their preparations with a strong 3-1 success against Norwich City.
Dom Plank, Fabian Salmon and Fabian Reynolds were all on target for the youngsters in Old Gold, with Alfie Pinyoun netting for the Canaries.
Wolves host Blackburn Rovers at Compton on Saturday afternoon as Walker gets his first taste of U18 Premier League action since arriving at the club.
