Wolves under-21s return to Vertu Trophy action on Tuesday evening with a trip to take on League One side Wigan Athletic at the Brick Community Stadium in a 7pm kick-off.
James Collins’ side head to Lancashire looking to pick up their first points in the group stage after being on the wrong end of an eight-goal 5-3 thriller at Stockport on match day one.
Setting the Scene
That defeat at Edgeley Park saw the young Wolves race into an early 2-0 lead, but ultimately they were beaten by an impressive Hatters turnaround.
Wigan sit midtable in League One this season, with three wins, three draws and four defeats from their ten matches so far, though last Saturday’s 2-0 loss at home to Cardiff was their first home league defeat of the season. They made the long trip to Plymouth this weekend where they drew 1-1.
In the Vertu Trophy, they were beaten 2-0 by Salford City on the first match day.
Last Time Out
Amidst a packed schedule for the under-21s, they were in PL2 action on Friday afternoon as they hosted Leicester City at Aggborough.
It was a game for the ages in Kidderminster as Wolves came from 3-1 down with 15 minutes remaining to record a 4-3 win thanks to Dani Angel’s late effort.

Tickets can be purchased on the night at the Brick Community Stadium by Wolves supporters at the following prices:
