Incheon United 1 (Sung 70+4) Wolves 1 (Bradbury 62)

Wolves under-17s brought their time in South Korea to a close with a 1-1 draw against Incheon United.

Incheon were then 3-1 winners in the penalty shootout to claim a ninth place finish in the International Youth Cup.

Makenzie Bradbury opened the scoring for Richard Walker’s side, before Incheon equalised four minutes into stoppage time through Himchan Sung.

After being recalled into the starting line-up for his second appearance of the tournament, Lucas Kibrya was called into action early on, but did well to save at his near post.

At the other end, Wolves had their first chance through a Tom Edozie volley, as he diverted Bradbury’s cross towards goal with a well-attempted first-time hit.

Kibrya then saved from Jaehwan Lee, before Hyeon Su Kim fired just over from a free-kick.

A tricky run from Conor McLeod saw him weave his way in and out before seeing his shot saved, while Dom Plank flashed an effort just wide of the far post.

Half-time | Incheon United 0-0 Wolves

Shortly after the interval, Minkyu Ji tricked his way into the box with a mazy run, but was unable to add the finishing touch as he struck over with his left boot.

Kibrya produced a big save 11 minutes into the half as Lee had the whole goal to aim for, however the Wolves stopper had other ideas as he made himself big to thwart the Incheon man.

Wolves took the lead eight minutes from time as Bradbury pressed high and won the ball back off Taehoon Son, before advancing into the penalty area and smashing his effort high into the right-hand side of the net.

It looked for all the world that the Old Gold were going to seal victory to end the tournament however, deep into stoppage time, Incheon found a leveller as Sung was on hand to capitalise from a cross to send the game to penalties.
