Sarkic’s season ended by injury

1 min read

Wolves goalkeeper Matija Sarkic has returned from his loan spell at Birmingham City, having had his season cut-short due to injury.

The goalkeeper has been ever-present for the Championship side this season, keeping 10 clean sheets in his 23 appearances during the first half of the season, and producing a number of impressive saves.

However, Sarkic suffered a dislocated shoulder in the closing stages of Sunday’s Championship clash with QPR which, following scan results, will require surgery.

The Montenegrin now returns to Compton Park to receive treatment and recover, ahead of a return to full fitness for the 2022/23 campaign.
